Although the group is treading ground already trod
on this collection, there are many peaks. The
highest is "Dog," a tune with a melody so catchy,
once you've heard it, it's hard to shake it from your
head. The moody, three-times-a-night love ballad
"Start All Over" is the highlight of the album's
slower, smooth-groove movers.

Calling themselves Milo Z, this group has been known to bring down the house with a unique blend of funk, soul and rock. The sound is big, soulful, fat and funky. Milo Z brings together a diversity of sounds and proudly combines influences from Sly Stone, James Brown and the Neville Brothers. The band's debut album for Mercury Records, "Basic Need to Howl", spans funk soul and rock. Many of songs are simply about having a good time and feeling good, but Milo also likes to write songs that "drop science."
